Customer service at government dept

Log 3 December 2007.
Just called the Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya in the morning. Have paid my car ticket fine and have been waiting for 2 and half months for my receipt.
First I called the general line and was passed to 42952337, where th guy at the phone line spent 10 mins trying to find out which dept was supposed to issue a receipt.
He asked me to call 42968004, the treasury dept, whcih then says that they are not the correct dept to issue receipts.
After another round of calls, the line was finally passed to the correct Dept, which is the MPAJ Legal Dept. The man on the line tells me ” Only 1 person is in charge of issuing receipts. And we have thousands everyday! Youhave to wait maybe another month for receipt. Anyway why you want receipt? It says paid on the computer.” Great! At this rate, can I trust you to say I have paid, without the proof of receipt?

MPAJ…. you really are doing great! Why not ask the 1 staff who is issuing receipt to come in part-time? It won’t be so stressful for the poor thing, having to issue receipts for thousands of fines. As in… please hire more staff la…… Once again, Malaysia TENTU boleh!!!!!!
